What the hell are you doing anyway?

Is a question I like to ask, a lot, of myself and others.  Most of the time people can’t really give you a good answer.  There is an awful lot of doing, but not much thinking.

This morning I am thinking about the human figure and its coverings.  How to compose the same within a rectangular frame.  And how, though the fabric coverings change with time, perceptions and opinions about beauty shift with the era, the fundamentals don’t appear to change much.  It is thought provoking, personally, to look at a range of such images from roughly the last 100 years and see the changes, or not on clear display.

While I am clearly editing my image posts for style and sequencing them to make some sense, I really am enjoying the age range of the images and how the fashions from the various eras can blend together well by editing for the similarities between images from disparate times.

Now, if I can just figure out how to put these thoughts to work.
